Our support for systems

Through an integrated system of tools and training, ANet helps support great teaching that’s grounded in standards and informed by data.

Competing priorities can make it difficult to develop and implement coherent visions for equitable instruction. That is why ANet offers a variety of levels of support around the following topics, equipping your team with the skills and knowledge to execute on a research-based common vision that ensures all students experience high-quality, excellent instruction!

Assessment Strategy

Read our paper on Assessment Strategy & Implementation!

Are you seeking to develop a comprehensive assessment strategy? Or seeking support with using ANet interims?

ANet offers two different types of ongoing coaching support for Assessment Strategy. Our 4-6 month Strategy Engagement is designed to help you evaluate your current approach and help you reduce the number of assessments that take away from valuable instructional time. Together, we define a comprehensive strategy that addresses the meaningful role that assessment should play alongside the instructional materials that you use and the instruction you provide to students. We build your capacity to make sound decisions about your assessments, grounded in the purpose and quality of the assessments.

Our year-long Coaching & Implementation Engagement supports you in how to appropriately use your selected assessments and other data points to inform instruction, as we coach you through your ongoing implementation.

Instructional Materials: Evaluation, Selection & Implementation

Hear success stories from districts we’ve worked with!

Are you looking for support in adopting a new curriculum? Or working to ensure quality implementation of your existing curriculum?

ANet offers two different types of ongoing coaching support for Instructional Materials. Our Strategy Engagement lasts 4-6 months and supports you with evaluating current materials and selecting new materials. Our year-long Coaching & Implementation Engagement will support you with quality implementation and progress monitoring. We are well versed to support multiple curriculums including but not limited to Eureka, Illustrative Math, LearnZillion Guidebooks, ReadyMath, Odell (HS), EL Education (K-8), Wit and Wisdom, and Odell ELA.

Literacy Strategy

Read about the building blocks that inform ANet’s approach to Literacy Strategy!

Are you seeking support in assessing your early literacy strategy to understand gaps, diagnose needs, and take action?

ANet offers two different types of ongoing coaching support for Literacy Strategy. Our 4-6 month Strategy Engagement will help you assess your early literacy assessment strategy to understand gaps. We will then provide guidance about which assessments to administer and coach you through how to use the data to diagnose students’ needs and take action. Our year-long Coaching & Implementation Engagement will coach you through designing and implementing a plan to address early literacy.

Professional Learning Strategy

Are you developing a Professional Learning Strategy? Or looking to strengthen your skills in independently planning and executing quality Professional Learning?

ANet offers two different types of ongoing coaching support for Professional Learning (PL) strategy. Our Strategy Engagement lasts 4-6 months and is designed to first help system leaders define roles and establish a theory of action that will result in changed educator practices. From that foundation, we work together to develop your PL strategy. In our year-long Coaching & Implementation Engagement, you will experience one of our PL series which models a strong PL experience alongside ongoing coaching to assist you in scaffolding the process to build up your skills in fully planning an executing your system or district’s PL experiences.

Racial Equity and Racial Healing

I’m walking away with practical action steps I can take to recognize my own implicit bias and a reminder to LISTEN to student perspectives and how their experiences affect how they view school.
— Teacher, Ferguson-Florissant School District

The work of creating engaged, joyful communities of learning where every student can thrive does not result from standards and data alone. ANet has a dual focus on educational excellence and anti-racism to ensure more equitable outcomes for all students. Our work is different because it dismantles the racist systems and structures endemic to our education system by addressing both the structural and relational aspects of institutional racism. Over the course of this multi-year partnership, ANet will conduct an equity audit to assess your school’s unique context and needs, co-create anti-racist standards and policies, and support implementation. We will provide tools, coaching and training to address mindsets and behaviors, and develop a multi-racial, multi-generational change team of your community members to sustain the work in the long term.
