Working alongside schools, we’ve learned that great teaching is grounded in standards, data, and insights shared among educators. We believe a blog can help us make a difference by spreading the ideas and effective practices of educators we work with.

We’re proud of the expertise our team has built over our ten years, and we'll be featuring contributions from ANetters across the org on topics in which they’ve immersed themselves.

Meet A Team - Meet One of Our System Services Teams!

Rachel Thomas

Our coaches bring the human element. They serve as thought partners to leaders, share best practices learned from experience, and channel the resources of our teams of specialists. Coaching is the key to helping school leaders use assessments and other data points appropriately to inform instruction across the ecosystem. Our coaches also help leaders think through the design and implementation of system-wide curriculum strategies, school-wide instructional priorities, and improvement practices.

In ANet’s job-embedded, system and district coaching partnership, our coaches work with the leadership team to identify inequities that exist for students and prioritize what must change in instruction to address them. Our coaches support leaders so that they are equipped to provide the necessary direction and development for their team in order for that change to happen.

The members of this system-based coaching team managed by Coach Impact Lead Kori Hamner are passionate about helping students. All former educators, this team balances between being a thought partner and a cheerleader for the educational leaders they serve. This insightful team shares their “why” for working at ANet, why educational equity is important, how their team contributes to ANet’s mission, and some of their favorite team moments.
